Who we are

Ben is a full-stack application developer based in London, UK. He has a range of experience building collaboration and data tools for charities and community groups in the UK. Ben joined the CiviCRM Core Team in 2024 and has worked with them on the CiviCRM Standalone and ChartKit initiatives.

In his spare time Ben likes fixing bikes, playing basketball, and reading the London Review of Books.

Edsel Lopez has been helping JMA Consulting’s clients since 2012. He started as a full stack CiviCRM and Drupal developer, then grew to handle WordPress, Joomla and other technologies. As Software Engineering Manager since 2022, Edsel supervises the development team and ensures that client needs are accurately reflected in technical requirements and the solution works well when delivered to them.

When relaxing outside work Edsel enjoys gaming, watching football and walks with his dog, Mayo.

Helen is a seasoned nonprofit Admin and HR manager with over 10 years of CiviCRM experience. Helen’s background includes 15 years managing operations of four corporate training centres providing training to organizations ranging from 2 to thousands of staff on application software, programming languages, Project Management Professional courses and other topics.

Helen enjoys life in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia including rambling with her large dog and trying to manage her two cats, teenage daughter and undergrad daughter.

Joe has over 25 years of experience providing technology solutions to non-profits. He is a co-author of Using CiviCRM (574pp), a moderator of https://civicrm.stackexchange.com and a member of the CiviCRM Community Council. Joe has been on the Board of ten local and provincial non-profits that provided services and advocated for change.

In his spare time Joe enjoys hiking, snowshoeing and masters swimming.

Monish Deb’s responsibilities include ongoing contributions to core CiviCRM code, and delivering WordPress/CiviCRM and Drupal/CiviCRM solutions for JMA clients. He has published mobile applications for JMA clients and is always keen to learn new skills and adapt to new technology.

He is currently among the top six contributors to CiviCRM.

Seamus is a Senior Consultant at JMA Consulting based in Sydney, Australia. His responsibilities include ongoing contributions to core CiviCRM code and security fixes, and delivering WordPress/CiviCRM and Drupal/CiviCRM solutions to JMA clients. He is the Technical Lead on JMA’s hosting and bulk hosting platforms.

Seamus is the CiviCRM Security Team Lead and a member of the CiviCRM Core Team.

He enjoys learning new technologies, has expertise in OAuth 2.0, React, Terraform and Apache Solr, and a passion for politics.

Stephanie brings over 25 years of experience in Client Services, with a strong focus on optimizing business processes to support client success. With a solid background in communication and project management—alongside deep expertise in CiviCRM—she excels at translating complex client needs into clear, actionable direction for technical teams.
